Edward Robert King (1863-1951)
Whilst in Cornwall Edward King worked in St Ives and produced important paintings showing the fishermen in St Ives the main one being St Ives Fish Market, 1896. This work was shown at the Royal Cornwall Polytechnic Society, Falmouth in 1895 and was for sale for £150. It is a huge canvas and shows the fishermen selling their fish at auction and potential buyers inspecting the fish while the fishermen look on.
